Qualifications

Qualifications for Board of Directors Candidates

1. Must be a lifetime general member in good standing.
2. Must be a person of good character and good standing in the insurance and financial planning industry.
3. Must be a general member for a minimum of one year.
4. Must maintain active membership in order to serve.
5. Must be involved either in a committee or CAIFPA or attend the majority of CAIFPA activities on a regular basis.
6. Must be nominated by 2 current Board members.
7. No 2 candidates will be allowed from the same company or agency to run at the same time.
8. Candidates for Board of Directors must be approved by the current Board before their names are submitted to the membership for voting.

Qualifications for Presidential Candidates

1. Must be a lifetime general member in good standing.
2. Must be a person of good character and good standing in the insurance and financial planning industry.
3. Must have served a minimum of one term (2 years) as a Director on the CAIFPA Board of Directors.
4. Must maintain active membership in order to serve.

Qualifications for Advisory Board Candidates

1.  Past CAIFPA President, or

2.  CAIFPA Board of Director who has served the Board for 6 years or more , or    

3.  Current or past president of other professional organizations, who is CAIFPA lifetime member.

4. Limited to 2 representatives per organization
